It doesn't affect your teeth's structure.

Usually, a dental hygienist gives your teeth a thorough cleaning before the Zoom! whitening procedure begins. The entire Zoom! procedure takes about 45 minutes or less; you can relax in the chair while the whitener works. After the whitening procedure, the staff will brush your teeth with a special paste or gel to make them less sensitive. Your dentist also will give you a kit to use at home for any needed touch-ups.

Trying It at Home

Dentists generally advise against most over-the-counter whitening treatments because they use strong chemicals. Professional whitening generally is safer and more effective, as are home-based methods when used under your dentist's direction.
